VIRTUAL EVENTS:
Barrington Area Library at balibrary.org has many virtual classes available. On Saturday, February 20, they are offering "Backyard Wildlife: If You Build It, They Will Come." On Thursday, February 25, "Creating a Native Plant Garden: Problem Solving Through Design" is available. Registration is required.
Chicago Botanic Garden at chicagobotanic.org offers several classes virtually for a fee. "Best New Plants of 2021: Online" on February 20, "Mail Order Gardening: Online" on February 28, and "Gardens of Chicago: Online" on March 11 are a few samples of classes offered. Registration is required.
Barrington White House at barringtonswhitehouse.com offers several events. On February 9, "Remembering Route 66" with Leslie Goddard is being presented. And on Thursday, March 11, a live-streamed jazz performance is available. Registration is required.

Beginning Sunday, February 14, the six-week series "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy" will be on CNN. Enjoy the secrets and delights of the country's regional cuisines. A different region or city will be visited each week.
Michael's Craft Stores offers free online classes at michaels.com. Learn to crochet, knit, paint, card-making, jewelry making, as well as kids' crafts and baking. Registration required.
AND POTPOURRI:
Club member Barb Cole has a suggestion for keeping busy while staying at home. She is tackling the project of going through many old photo albums. She is pulling out photos of family from way back and making albums for her
grandchildren. She is also sending pictures of friends to their families with a note sharing her memories. This is going to take quite some time, but if she gets bored, she can always go to her card making! And a message from Barb, "Take care of yourselves and miss you all very much."
