There's much to see here. So, take your time, and check out all the Special Events and Workshops planned for 2023-2024. We hope you enjoy what has been put together for you.
Tour the beautiful gardens at Cantigny in Wheaton, Il including the Rose Garden, the Idea Garden and the Display Gardens. We will have lunch at Bertie’s Café on the grounds. We will meet at 9:00 am at North Park to carpool.
Join us for a fall nature hike to see spectacular fall colors and view the new exhibit “Of the Earth.” We will dine at the Ginkgo Restaurant on site. Meet at North Park at 8:45 am to carpool to Morton Arboretum.
We will be offering a workshop to design an outdoor winter planter to take us through the holidays. Time, location, and cost to be announced.
You and your guests are invited to “Celebrate the Season of Light” at our annual Holiday luncheon at Medinah Country Club, Thursday, December 7th. Come enjoy the fun, friends and festivities including a program by Robert Niri, local designer and educator. This is our only fundraiser for the year which supports our prog
Relax after the hectic holiday season at a workshop led by Freda Butler and Susan Erickson to design a beautiful greeting card. Workshop is after the February 15th general meeting. Sign up at the November general meeting. Limit to 10 attendees.
Join friends for a delightful afternoon for an authentic and complete high tea at Mystic Rogue Irish Pub (6070 Northwest Highway, Chicago, IL). The tentative date is March 14. Final details will follow, but fees will be pre-paid and non-refundable. Meet at North Park to carpool.
We will visit Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford, IL. Tentative date is April 15. Join us to explore the wild, wonderful, and often strange world of butterflies and moths! See the whole lepidoptera lifecycle in action as caterpillars munch on leaves, butterflies emerge from their chrysalis, and moths from their cocoons
Get ready for Cinco de Mayo with a Tamale making party presented by Shirley Putnam and her brother-in-law. We will make three kinds of tamales. Event to be held at Nancy Kaye’s home either May 1 or May 3. Limit to 20 attendees. Details to follow.
This event is always a highlight of our year. Enjoy our gathering to delight in summer and visit with members, friends, and guests. The Garden Party will be held from 11 am – 2 pm with date and location to be determined.
